If BYU wants to encourage women to pursue an education as well as begin their families, they ought to have closer parking for women who are dilated to a 3 and are 80% effaced, but are trying to wait until Friday to have a baby when they are done with all their major papers and have actually packed their hospital bag.

I never thought about that, but you're totally right! (I loved Babies R Us for having "expecting mothers" parking...BYU should definitely follow suit.)

Have a protest; I'd come. But then I have years of grievances against BYU parking and would love any small way to stick it to the man, as it were.

Be grateful you can still get up and walk, it is much better than the alternative--bed rest that not only increases pregnancy fat, but also decreases any sort of mommma muscle you had to begin with. This rant is of course coming from a bitter momma who had to spend a month on bed rest with her last two pregnancies and who is still trying to lose 25 pounds of pregnacy weight gain.

holy cow...i just can't believe how soon it's all gonna be for you! good luck with the papers, but give up on the parking--this is years of experience speaking from when i was in a wheelchair and still couldn't find parking.

let me know if you need help with anything.

I love the third-person perspective in this post. :)

Tis true...though effacement and dilation really mean nothing at all as to when you'll go into labor. I've known people who've been dilated to 4cm with just as much effacement and still didn't have the baby for 3 weeks etc. You just never know.

I agree! I think they should have these stalls at many places, like grocery stores and such. And one for moms with more than one or two kids under 4 with them:)
