Christian has come . . .

I'll write more later, but Christian is here. He's 6 lbs, 18.5 inches and oh so good looking. He is in the NICU, but we'll hopefully will be able to get him back with us today.

p.s. The first time I saw this painting I loved it though I didn't realize it was a Nativity scene until later. Click on it to see the whole picture. Aren't births just beautiful?

Exciting. What a little sausage he is. 6lbs...I can only be jealous. Sophia arrived early but still with a whopping 9lbs. Maybe that's why she got stuck. Too big. ;)

Well, I'll be looking for pictures of baby and momma bear.

Oowee! Congratulations! We really had your baby shower just in time, eh? I do like that painting, and I didn't realize it was a nativity at first either. I like how Joseph and Mary look exhausted. Hope you two are hanging in there! Welcome to parenthood!

Thanks for sharing the beautiful picture. Birth really is wonderful and beautiful--after the pain is over when you get to hold them in your arms. I'm so happy about your sweet little man. I think Christian is a great name, and I'm sure you both will be great parents. I wish I could be there to help you through this first little bit, but I guess I'll just have to send you lots of love from Washington. I told Abby about your new baby and she got really excited. Later I saw her pretending to give birth to her stuffed rabbit on her bed which she was pretending was the hospital. So funny!
