Alas
the days of dressing Kumquat in his diaper are over. Not because it is finally winter (I keep my apartment where we don't pay for heating to 85 degrees nearly all the time) but that he thinks its a good joke to take off his diaper and show us his cute little cottage cheese bum.

I was born.
I've said it once, and I'll say it again. The only good thing that came out of the "me decade" of the 80's was me (and STephen).

playing with matches
Call me Yenta.
For that's pretty much who I would be if I were a little shorter and parents would entrust their precious children's future happiness in my hands. Alas our society doesn't exactly pay obviously talented people like myself (as seen by who I married) to find them (or their children) perfect matches.
Do you think I could qualify for benefits as being an unemployed professional matchmaker?

Enough with being private
When even Stephen forgets to check the blog because its not coming up on google reader, I think its time to stop being private.

Again, Not Christian.
Believe it or not, this isn't actually Christian. This picture is of his cousin Hyrum taken a couple of years ago. Crazy, eh?

Application time . .. almost done
Our favorite Stephen has been sending applications in this past week and just has a few more to turn in. We're excited and hope for one of the schools to simply fall in love and make him a proposal (well with an offer, and we wouldn't mind a nice stipend). But just in case this doesn't happen, we need some help coming up with a back up plan. This is where we need you (the few who still read this blog now that it is private) to suggest what we should do with our lives just in case.
So, we ask for your ideas:

one of the best thing about being a parent
the youngest child is now able to be doing the tickle torture instead of receiving it.
