just because

*I went to the dentist and he said that I had no cavities and that there seems to be no infection underneath my dead tooth. As far as the metallic taste in my mouth, that could be a symptom of various things such as Kidney disease:

or changing my mouthwash:

.

yay for possibilities.

*I saw something red amidst green/yellow wilting leaves of my abandoned tomato plant.

*http://www.khanacademy.org Is kind of a neat way to re-learn everything I have forgotten or never learned.

*This is the coolest thing I've seen/read all day (other than Kumquat's I'm-too-cool-for-peas look).
greenland

*Stephen wants me to explain why we're going private. Its pretty much because we're not certain whether graduate schools google stalk or not. If they do, we're not certain whether it would hurt Stephen to have decided that there's something more to life than academics alone (I know what blasphemy) like his incredibly talented wife who can triple roll her tongue and his son who goes through diapers faster than Rachel goes through the sour patch candy Stephen bought for Halloween.

.. and you made fun of me for going private. I love this random post, it reminds me of all our sisterly conversations that Jared can never quite follow.

Ok, that picture is totally gross, let's hope it isn't kidney disease, I'm glad you might have a tomatoe growing, I sort of forgot my plants and went out today and found some red too.

Congrats on no cavities! I hope I get the same diagnosis at my next appointment. I must say, though, the kidney disease picture is quite a disturbing intro picture...

It was so fun to see you guys this summer. I'm thinking we may be out again next spring... but that all depends on my brother (wink, wink)...

While chronic kidney disease and acute renal failure can cause a metallic taste in the mouth, I confidently suggest to you that you don't need to worry about your kidneys looking like the picture. It is a fine example of polycystic kidney disease, which happens to be genetic, so I'm fairly certain that your kidneys don't look like that. Thank your parents for decent genes, I guess.
